Cliff Berry II

Cliff Berry II has been with the Board of Directors of Seafarers’ House since 1999. He served as Vice President from 2002 to 2005 and again from 2014 until today.

Mr. Berry is President of Cliff Berry Inc., a Fort Lauderdale-based company offering emergency response environmental services with facilities across Florida.

He is a native Floridian and life-long resident of Fort Lauderdale. He attended the University of Florida and, after completing his studies, took a management position with the company his father founded in 1973.

Mr. Berry, who has worked in the environmental services industry for more than 20 years, rose through the ranks and grew Cliff Berry Inc. into a nationally recognized environmental services company.

Mr. Berry’s experience in leading responses to oil and chemical releases has won Cliff Berry Inc. national recognition from the United State’s Coast Guard as a preeminent environmental services company. The USCG recognized his company through its “Benkert Award” as a national leader in environmental safety.

Mr. Berry has been the project manager for multimillion-dollar cleanup efforts requiring around-the-clock operations and deployment of more than 150 response personnel. He has worked closely with the Department of Interior and Department of Commerce at local and federal levels to remediate national park and national marine sanctuary lands impacted by oil and chemical spills.

Mr. Berry is an active member of The Port Everglades Association. He is a member of the South Florida Local Area Planning Committee. He has served two concurrent terms as President of the Propeller Club of Port Everglades.
Julie Berry

Julie Fisher Berry is a Senior Vice President with the Capital Markets group in CBRE’s Fort Lauderdale office, specializing in investment transactions of signature marina and shipyard properties. With over twenty years of investment sales experience, Julie is recognized as a market leader. Based in the “Yachting Capital of the Word,” Julie focuses on the sale of boatyards, shipyards, marinas, mega yacht facilities and mixed-use assets with a major marina component across Florida and the U.S., the Caribbean, and beyond. Prior to joining CBRE, she led Marina Investments Group, a division of Stiles Corporation. Julie has transacted numerous high-profile marine properties including the largest marina boatyard in the U.S. Her transactional expertise, industry participation, and advocacy work in marine-related issues, along with her philanthropic efforts, have contributed to exceptional relationships with owners, buyers and clients through her years of active involvement.

Recognized a gap in the market and established a company to specifically assist and support ship owners and operators in managing the challenges relating to environmental compliance. Using my extensive network formed over 17 years within the cruise industry, ensure that effective sales, marketing, and customer service efforts are performed for a select group of European suppliers to increase their North American market share.

Responsible for the strategic and financial growth of the organization as it relates to product line development as well as depth and quality of services levels offered to the client base. Services extend beyond supply, service and training to include systems integration, consulting and organizational design and development.

1995 – 2000
Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
Director, Technical Procurement
Directly responsible for procurement, training, management and mentoring a staff of twenty-three, including a satellite support office stationed in Oslo, Norway. Commodity lines included all Technical, Nautical, Safety, Refurbishment, Casino, Entertainment, Out-Island, and Newbuild materials and service supply needs for a fleet of eighteen passenger cruise vessels. Directly responsible for negotiating and effecting all contracts for all related commodities and working with the Operating Departments to ensure objectives were met, if not exceeded as it relates to customer service (to the vessels) and financial performance.

Instrumental in the development of the Quality Supplier Development Program designed to ensure consistent supplier performance standards were set and benchmarked against. Responsible for the successful shoreside implementation of the Purchasing Module of AMOS for Windows in support of Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises. Key participant in both Royal Caribbean International & Celebrity Cruises ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 successful certification efforts. Trained and certified as Internal Auditor by Det Norske Veritas as it relates to IS0 14001 Environmental Audits.

Commodore/Crown Cruise Line Director, Technical & Hotel Procurement
Directly responsible the procurement, training and management of a staff of twelve employees responsible for the sourcing support of a fleet of six passenger cruise vessels relating to all Deck, Engine, Electrical, Refurbishment, Food & Beverage and Hotel requirements.

Admiral Cruises/Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Administrative & Financial Analyst
Responsible for the administrative and financial management of the Marine Operations Department, operating five passenger cruise vessels. Tasks included coordination of service requirements, scheduling and follow up of regulatory inspections, progress reports to senior management, and monthly financial review and analyses of all marine operating expenses.

Glenn A. Wiltshire

Glenn A. Wiltshire, a 30-year veteran with the U.S. Coast Guard, is Acting Chief Executive and Port Director of Port Everglades.

His responsibilities as second in command of one of the world’s busiest cruise ports and Florida’s largest containerized cargo seaports include security, planning and managing the seaport’s diverse maritime initiatives which generate over 200,000 jobs statewide and $729 million in state and local taxes.

Prior to joining Port Everglades, Wiltshire was the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port of New York/New Jersey.
