Like many of you Seafarers’ House weathered one of the toughest storms of its history over the past year, and the storm has not yet subsided. Thanks to people like you, Seafarers’ House had the strength to keep moving forward when it mattered most to seafarers. Virtually and at the docks, we welcomed crew, provided pastoral support, delivered packages from home, distributed toiletries, PPE and food, gave blessings and hosted virtual multi-faith services.
While it was a difficult decision, Seafarers’ House decided to cancel the 2021 South Florida Business Leaders’ Luncheon. We look forward to celebrating a community leader with you in person next year at the 25th annual event.
As you may know the South Florida Business Leaders’ Luncheon is our chance to honor one of our community’s most deserving leaders and it serves as one of our largest fundraisers of the year. Each year we raise $65,000 to supports a place of welcome to as many as 150,000 mariners annually. This is the second year we have had to cancel the event due to COVID-19. While the fundraising support isn’t coming in, our work remains ever present, supporting seafarers at a time they need us the most.

Many of you are faithful Luncheon supporters through sponsorships, journal ads and by attending the event. Will you please consider a gift at the level you typically support the event?
