More than 42,000 Coast Guard members around the country went without pay during the government shutdown earlier this year. Thanks to our donors, we were able to assist. Executive Director Lesley Warrick and her team were joined by our newest board member John Richard Chapman III, a partner with the law firm Holland & Knight’s Fort Lauderdale office, in delivering Publix gift cards, toiletries and other necessities and some donuts to the Coast Guard station at Port Everglades.
